Bernice Ahlers Aumack, 89, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2021.
Born to the late Harold and Flora Lambertson in 1931, she lived most of her life in Keyport and Union Beach before moving to Middletown in 1987.
She loved to crochet handmade blankets or “covers’ as she called them for everyone. She was also known for her kerchiefs that she wouldn’t leave the house without for fear of her hair blowing. She loved the food channel, watching Judge Judy and listening to country music.
Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, her most precious gift. She was especially proud of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her step-father, Stephen Lambertson, twice widowed by her husbands, Joseph Ahlers and Thomas Aumack Sr. She is also predeceased by her daughters, Linda Lowther and Doris DuBois, her sister, Carol Kellis and great-great grandchild, Aubrey DuBois.
Bernice is survived by her son-in-law, Robert Lowther, her grandchildren; Michelle Dini (John), Kelly Nelson (Dave), Robert J. Lowther (Lynn), Dawn Johnson (Charles) and Denise Johns (Nelson), great-grandchildren; Donna (Dennis), Deanna (Mark), Johnny, Shane, Kyla, Travis, DJ, Liam, Luke, Evan, Brooke, Paige, Xander and Jaren, great-great grandchildren; Ryan, Adrian and Julian, sister, Joyce Walling, brothers, Steve Lambertson (Jun) and William Lambertson (Lucille), brother-in-law, Norman Kellis and nephews and extended family.
