Asuncion (Suncha) Hernandez, 76, of Keyport, passed away on May 28, 2017. Asuncion was born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico to Delfin Garcia and Dominga Torres. Suncha immigrated to the United States with her husband in 1962.
Suncha is known for her delicious food, her great sense of humor, enjoying time with family and friends and getting lucky with her scratch off lottery tickets.
She was a devout Catholic and longtime communicant of Jesus the Lord RC Church in Keyport.
She was predeceased by her parents and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Polo Hernandez, her children; Eddie (Lauren) of Hazlet, Miguel (Janine ) of Middletown, Johnnie and girlfriend Becky of Grattos, VA, Jose (Nikki) of Union Beach, Daisy Joyner of Chambersburg, PA, Lissette (Randolph) Jones of Chambersburg, PA and David (Erica) of Keyport, brothers; Francisco and Baldemero Garcia of Keyport and her sister, Maria Garcia of Vineland, NJ, grandchildren; Jordan, Joelle, Erika, Angela, Shadai, Alyssa, Marley, Summer, Celia, Renee and Davey and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thurs. June 1st from 5-8pm at Bedle Funeral Home, 61 Broad St., Keyport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Jesus the Lord RC Church on Fri., June 2nd at 10am
